Scott Keutzer is a teacher at FHS. Keutzer has been teaching for 9 years, 3 years at St. Joe, and 6 years at Farmington. He teaches Algebra 1.5 and 2, Mr. keutzer always has loved Math and chemistry. I asked Mr.Koutzer six questions to find out more about him for this article.

“What made you go into teaching?”
I love the interactions with the students. I had several bad math teachers growing up, and wanted to help out!”

“Did you always want to be a teacher?”
As a kid, we played school a lot, with me being the teacher, but as I grew older I didn’t like the salary, so I thought I would NOT be a teacher.”

“When you went into teaching did you plan on being a math teacher?”
“Yes, If I taught anything it would be Mathematics or Science.”

“What kind of student were you in high school?”
“I was a fairly shy class clown, if that makes sense. I got good grades. I was a good kid.”

“What extracurricular activities did you do when you were in high school?”
I played tennis, soccer and ran cross country.”

“What are some of your hobbies outside of school?”
“I enjoy Cardinals games, coaching a baseball team, building Lego cities!”
