Farmington Girls Basketball

The Farmington girls basketball team’s season comes to an end after they lost to the Potosi Trojans by 6 in the district tournament in the first round. The girls had a season record of 9-16 which could improve going into the 2019-2020 season.
I talked to one of the Varsity players and asked what was their biggest accomplishment on the season and she said, “Beating Jackson early in the season.” Which is always a big accomplishment for any sports team to take down the Indians. Then I continued to ask what was the biggest disappointment on the season and she said “Losing to Central the second time because it was such a close game.” And it is always disappointing to lose to our close neighbors, the Rebels.
The Farmington Girls team is expecting a young lineup next year with a few seniors leading the charge into the offseason and the regular season. There are five seniors returning for next years season including Abby Cassimatis, Lilly Combs, Laiken Cash, Bri Speaker and Olivia Busse. Also a sophomore, some freshman and incoming 8th graders.

Losing to Central the second time was tragic,

The Knights are expecting a better season next year, and I wish them the best of luck for the next season.
