The biggest event of the summer is back for all of the community to enjoy, there are been some changes though. Don’t worry though, everything that makes this event special will be making an appearance and more. This year we can come together and celebrate together what we have been through as a community and be together once again. This year this popular summer event will be celebrating its 42nd year of being a part of the community. This year’s event is going to be carnival-nights themed, same theme intended for 2020’s theme, according to this article, on all things Country days.

This popular summer kick off event will be the first weekend in June 4-6, and they will be spreading out the festival from Long St to Jefferson, and is going to be a “Street Festival”. This event is made possible by the Farmington Regional Chamber, by Sponsors like Ozarks Federal, and the city. As Chambers Director of events, Cassie Thomas views it, “It’s an event that brings people together, and people have a generational appreciation [for it]”.Hopefully the parade full of floats with different twists on this year’s theme will make an appearance as well. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a great, fun event to start your summer off this is the once a year event for you. With great food, fun rides,a parde, and festival you’re sure to have a great, carefree time. There is a little something for everyone, and a way to come together and celebrate the community and this years heartacks. As Austin Lee, sophomore at FHS, added, “it’s about getting out and enjoying being with family and friends,”. Everyone is welcome and the sponsors, and Farmington Regional Chamber have worked hard in preparation to make a great comeback for this event.
