Ever wondered how a play gets put together? Fall down the rabbit hole with Farmington High School's Production of Alice in Wonderland. The FHS Theater guild presents the production of Alice in Wonderland at the Truman Auditorium.
During the rehearsals, The FHS Theater Guild used fun and exciting warm ups to promote teamwork while getting our actors out of their comfort zone and in character.
Fiona Thomas is a sophomore, and is cast as The Queen Of Hearts.
“Some warm ups we do are games to get our energy up and flowing along with games that involve lots of focus,” said Thomas.
“They help me by getting me in the zone to truly perform.” Thomas said.
During warm ups and running the show, The Tech crew is working hard beyond the stage, working on props, costumes, lighting, and so on.
Ava Duffe is the Vice President of the theater guild. She's a sophomore and she is cast as Alice.
“I think it's going well so far! We still have a few things to work on, but overall progress has been good.” said Duffe.
“I do help out with things beyond the stage! I am the vice president for the Theater Guild, so I work on things like our Homecoming float, guild events, fundraising, and other various tasks to ensure that theater runs smoothly, “ Duffe said.
Alice in Wonderland would not be possible without the Tech crew. The Props, Costumes, Lighting, and everything that happens behind the scenes.
Camilla Northam is a sophomore and a part of the tech crew.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been this involved in a production ever. I’ve been helping backstage, building set, painting, as well as doing the lights,” said Northam. “ I’ve put in a considerable amount of work, which I’m not used to. As I strive to hold a bigger role in the guild, I know I need to put in more and more effort. It’s all worth it to see the show go up though.” Said Northam.
The next play will be Cinderella in the Spring. Callbacks/Final auditions will be held on November 13th.
