Scott Keutzer is a teacher at FHS. Keutzer has been teaching for 9 years, 3 years at St. Joe, and 6 years at Farmington. He teaches Algebra 1.5 and 2, Mr. keutzer always has loved Math and chemistry. I asked Mr.Koutzer six questions to find out more about him for this article.

“What made you go into teaching?”
“ I love the interactions with the students. I had several bad math teachers growing up, and wanted to help out!”

“Did you always want to be a teacher?”
“As a kid, we played school a lot, with me being the teacher, but as I grew older I didn’t like the salary, so I thought I would NOT be a teacher.”

“When you went into teaching did you plan on being a math teacher?”
“Yes, If I taught anything it would be Mathematics or Science.”

“What kind of student were you in high school?”
“I was a fairly shy class clown, if that makes sense. I got good grades. I was a good kid.”

“What extracurricular activities did you do when you were in high school?”
“I played tennis, soccer and ran cross country.”

“What are some of your hobbies outside of school?”
“I enjoy Cardinals games, coaching a baseball team, building Lego cities!”
