Meet my teacher
1.How many years have you been a teacher?
I have taught/worked in education for over 13 years now.
2.How do you think students describe you?
I would hope students would describe me as caring, kind, understanding, a good listener, consistent, fair, reliable.
3.Do you have a teacher best friend?
I have some good teacher friends. I would say my favorite fellow teachers are Casey Burch and Jess Barton.
4.What’s your favorite lunch item at FHS?
I like the turkey dinner meals they serve around Thanksgiving and Christmas. The pumpkin cake is pretty tasty.
5.What kind of student were you in high school?
I was a good student, never in trouble, honors classes, active in clubs and sports, a pretty average HS student.
6.What was your favorite subject when you were in high school?
I am a huge history nerd! I loved my American History and Advanced History classes.
7.What are your favorite hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school, I spend most of my time on our farm taking care of our animals and gardens. I also enjoy reading and crafting.
8.What is the most important trait of a teacher?
I think it is important for teachers to be patient and able to form positive relationships with their students with healthy, safe boundaries of course.
9.What’s your favorite thing about FHS?
My favorite thing about FHS is the awesome students I get to work with each day and of course my amazing coworkers. It really does take a village to make FHS successful, and we have a pretty great village here.
